This is three, 20-30 minute segments. The first is the best, but all around a fantastic story. The animation is fricken AMAZING. Everything looks real. I've never seen better animation. The last segment leaves something to be desired, however. There's a lot of story that's left out there but not explored --- a lot more that could have been done. But I'm so glad I bought the DVD. It's a wonderful story. |

This has unseated Clannad as my favorite anime. The story is phenomenal. The acting is superb, and they make you care about their characters from the first episode. The research that went into the accuracy of the Celtic Paganism is top notch; they really got the tiniest details right. The only flaw I can find in this series is that there isn't more of it. I WILL purchase this when it's put on blu ray. |

I loved this OAV --- except the ending. But not for the reason you may think. I interpreted the "other world" sequences as an interpretation of one character's feelings toward the other character. But at the "end," my hubby said that it was a non-sequential-scene anime, and the "other world" sequences should have happened after the school sequences. And that kind of recked it for me. If my interpretation was correct, it would have been a better anime for me. |

This series is one of my top 3 of all time. The story is wonderful. The characters are funny, amazing, your best friends. There wasn't anything about this I didn't like --- I didn't want to stop watching. While several of the English VAs did a great job, there were several that were just not right for the role; they didn't fit the character (just didn't sound right). That's not their fault; it's the fault of the director who cast them in that role or didn't get the right sound from them. That's why I gave it an ok: still a great story, just not as perfect as the Japanese version. |

Nowhere near as good as the hype would make you believe -- some people think this is the best anime ever. And it's not. But it's worth seeing. Patton is great in this series, as is Chris Ayers. |

The English dub is horrible. Not because of the actors --- they're pretty decent. It's the translation!!! I don't know why Funimation feels the need to rewrite the scripts when it translates, but this is not the first anime to get a rewrite when put into dubs. Even when there are NO lip flaps to deal with, they change the script. I don't get it!!! But this is Funimation's MO. They rewrite a lot. Stick with the original Japanese. |

I'm 4 eps into Dragon Destiny, so it's kept my interest well enough to start watching the second series. |

I saw the first two eps in Japanese while at Anime Boston (where it was premiered). I thought at that time I wouldn't see any more of the series. Then, when it came out as an English dub, I was AMAZED at how wonderful the acting was. I watched the whole series. Brittney Karbowski (Aoba) is phenomenal. She's just a great actor. I'm glad I gave the series another chance; otherwise, I would have missed a great anime series. Don't miss this one. |

They could have easily finished the story and done one season and been done with it. That's the only thing stopping me from making this Excellent. |

Ok. After the slower-than-death development of the main romance in Season One, I was looking forward to Season Two finally having some...well..... ROMANCE. I was very depressed that the first 2-3 episodes were amazingly frustrating --- "Not more misunderstandings!!!" --- but they quickly turned around. This season was funny, had new characters, and was actually enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed the second season. |

I went back and forth from Good to Very Good on this one. I left it as Good because while it was funny, entertaining, and I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching it, it was just a very flat story, i.e., not a lot of substance. Other than the two main girls (one of which is really a guy in girl's clothing) and one girl who constantly gets nosebleeds, there isn't much else going on. And when you get to the 12 ep, it's just over. I tend to like anime series' that have more of a story, so by ep 8-10, I was kinda bored. But like I said, it's funny, so it's worth seeing. |

I struggled with the rating of this, seeing how many people thought this was a Masterpiece. I thought Kyon was excellent. His character was hysterical. The other characters were funny, cute, entertaining. But the overall story was not, in my opinion, "Exquisite beyond words." I think it was very good. I enjoyed it. I think everyone should see it. Addendum: I've now seen it a second time with English dubs as well as in the episode order rather than broadcast order. This is a great anime. It's funny, it's entertaining. If you haven't seen it yet, see it in broadcast order first, then see it in episode order. |

For a Key anime, this was horrible. I expected much more from Key than this. The story changed drastically several times -- it felt like it was all over the place. Then it was over. It didn't really explain much as to the why's and hows of things that were happening. Then it was over. I really feel like I wasted time watching this. |

This was excellent. I didn't rate it "Excellent" because I don't think everyone should run out and buy it (as the rating suggests --- everyone should own it), but I DO believe everyone should see it. It was kinda cool the way the segments were presented over a 100-year period. The person(s) who wrote it certainly has some sexual issues they need to deal with (LMAO), but it is a great story. And it's good from beginning to end.

The Japanese is much better than the dub. It's not the actors --- they were great. It's the translation and the direction. The english dub doesn't have the emotional impact the orginal Japanese sub does, and the translation "americanized" the anime to the point where it minimized very important scenes that did not need to be changed. It's still very good in English, just nowhere near as good as the Japanese. |

The Japanese with English subtitles is EXCELLENT. Very dark, very violent, and a fantastic story. The English dub, however, is horrible. All but one of the actors sounds like they are reading the script for a Saturday morning cartoon. They suck. I could only watch 3-4 eps in English before I said, "That's it. I can't take it any more." The lead male was the worst. He sounded like he was reading a story to little kids on Sesame Street. Just horrible. Stick with the Japanese, and you won't be disappointed. |

This was a great anime series. One of the things I liked the most was that it was about adults rather than the typical 8-12 grader. It's nice to have a story with adults once in a while! It was funny, the characters were likable and engaging, and their interaction was entertaining. You won't be disappointed with this one. |
