Kill la Kill Game Adds Ira Gamagōri, Uzu Sanageyama as Playable Characters

The official website for Kill la Kill the Game -If- (Ifu), the first game based on the Kill la Kill anime, opened on Wednesday and revealed that Ira Gamagōri and Uzu Sanageyama will be playable characters. The characters will have playable demos at Tokyo Game Show, which will be held from September 20-23 at Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba.
The game will launch for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam next year.
Arc System Works revealed that Kazuki Nakashima is returning to write the game's story, which will be written like "another episode" of the anime. The company also teased that Satsuki might have her "final form" in the game. The company is discussing the possibility of providing an English dub for the game.
Anime Studio Trigger and the game developer and publisher Arc System Works are collaborating on the game, with Arc System Works as the publisher. APLUS (Little Witch Academia game) is developing the game for one to two players.
Trigger's recent projects include a collaboration with A-1 Pictures on the DARLING in the FRANXX television anime, which premiered in January. The studio is also working on the SSSS.Gridman anime, which will premiere this fall. Anime Expo hosted the world premiere of the anime with Wakabayashi and other Japanese guests on July 6.
Arc System Works is best known for its fighting game series Guilty Gear and Blazblue. The developer recently worked on Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball FighterZ and recently released the Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle crossover fighting game.
